The best scripts aren't developed by the writer alone

They're developed by working with a script editor. In the professional world, one draft is rarely enough to get you through that process, which is why we offer feedback on 2 drafts and key development documents along the way. We'll identify where your script needs most development and help you work through that BEFORE you set off on your second draft. That may be through assessing a new structural outline, further developing your characters, or looking at why your dialogue and scenes aren't working as well as you should. Over a 6 month period, we'll be with you every step of the way.

  • Professional development notes on two drafts of your screenplay, produced over 6 months

  • Monthly meetings to discuss your work and plan the next stages

  • Feedback provided on key development documents

  • Emailed support along the way

  • Our character-first, psychological approach towards story development ensures that your readers will engage

Ready to take your screenwriting to the next level?

Write 2 drafts in 6 months

With all the support and feedback you'll need along the way

  • Development notes on your first draft

We provide development notes on your first draft focusing on the bigger picture: the concept, story, structure, characterisation and scenes so that you understand your strengths as a writer as well as the areas that you need to develop.

  • Development meeting to discuss these notes

Meet for 1.5 hours to discuss these notes, run through any questions that you may have and reflect on possible solutions.

  • Feedback on revised structural outline and/or character documents

To ensure that you're in the best position to write your second draft, you'll be asked to submit further development documents before you get started. Depending on the areas that need developing, this may be a revised structural outline, character monologues to develop voice, character biographies or scene work.

  • Monthly meetings and emailed support

We'll meet monthly to discuss your progress and also provide emailed support along the way. If you get stuck on a particular scene, can't find the right ending, aren't sure how your character would behave in a particular situation or need more help with your characters' relationship, feel free to get in touch.

  • Page notes on second draft

Detailed comments annotated directly on your script pages to indicate where your scenes are working well, as well as how they can be improved in relation to characterisation, the structuring of a scene, dialogue and action lines.

  • Final meeting to run through the page notes

In this final meeting we'll run through any questions you may have about your page notes, and remaining problems that you haven't yet solved and what you should be thinking about next in relation to your script.
